Meet some of our rare breed residents at Home Farm whilst listening to the classic tale of the ‘Three Little Pigs’; explore a range of materials and their properties as you make your way through the farmyard to take part in a STEM challenge activity.

Guided Farm Tour

Meet the livestock at Temple Newsam Home Farm for this farm based workshop that is developed to suit each Key Stage.

Who eats who?

Pupils discover the reasons animals need to eat and the differences between herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.

Living in the Dark

Pupils will explore how nocturnal animals are adapted to living in their dark environment. You will also experience our Nocturnal House at Wildlife World

The Woodland Hunt workshop

Explore where the wild things are on the estate whilst listening to stories of fabulous creatures that live in the woods. Search for the tiniest creatures that live there and have a go at creating a minibeast mansion.

Adaptation Investigators

Pupils discover how animals are adapted to increase their chances of survival, through behavioural or physical/anatomical traits.

A workshop solely about one of our favourite species at Wildlife World – penguins! Best suited for our younger visitors in Reception and Year 1.
