Botanically Beautiful: Art and design inspired by nature

1 March 2026 - 18 October 2026

Lotherton Hall

From garden to gallery, explore why artists, designers and makers have been inspired by nature to create a wealth of decoration for our homes and bodies.

Why do plants mean so much to us?

Find out with Lotherton’s new exhibition of beautiful and remarkable objects, all inspired by flowers, fruit, leaves and trees. You’ll see original William Morris wallpapers from the Sanderson Archive alongside glorious ceramics and silver, intricate Spitalfields silks and innovative furniture by Voysey and Pugin.

The exhibition explores why artists and craftspeople choose to use particular plants, and how designers and makers have been inspired by nature.
