Gordon Brooke's Bus Collection

See a glimpse of Gordon Brook's bus collection dating back to 1949.

Gordon loved buses from an early age. His first edition of ‘Buses Illustrated’ is from 1949 when he would have been 11 years old. 
After Gordon died, his family discovered the extent of his passion. This display shares a small selection of the items found in Gordon’s box room.
There were over 1000 bus magazines, hand written records of buses of interest, and around 600 homemade bus models. 
The models, made by Gordon in secret over many years, were meticulously modelled on specific buses, using scrap card and acetate.
