This KS2/KS3 workshop explores the incredible archaeology collections cared for by the museum.

Learn about the life of the mummified person Nesyamun. Discover more about Nesyamun’s beliefs and culture by looking at hieroglyphs and artefacts, and by working together to mummify a doll.

In this workshop, students will explore our Ancient Worlds gallery, searching for artefacts from Ancient Egypt – they’ll then discuss with a facilitator the life of the mummified person in the museum. When returning to the education space, students will take part in their own mummification: working as a team to prepare and wrap a doll, and talk about Ancient beliefs about a journey to the afterlife.

Booking essential.

Please tell us your child's age and any SEN information when booking. Workshop for KS2/KS3 ages.
