Front Room Productions returns to Temple Newsam with A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Join us for another rollicking and raucous show, delivered in the original tongue and punctuated by live musical arrangements of your favourite pop hits.

Four trendy young lovers from Leeds City Centre seek to change their fates – and what better place than at Temple Newsam during festival season? The sun is shining, love is in the air, and it’s easy to get lost in the crowds. But magic is quite literally in the air, too – and as a result, everyone keeps falling in love with the wrong person. Combine this with the feuding King and Queen of the Gardens, a havoc-reeking groundskeeper, and a troupe of bumbling actors from the Kirkgate Market Light Operatic Society, and you have yourself a delightfully devious blend of magic, mischief and muddled millennials.

Modern dating may be a minefield, but this joyful and bang up to date adaptation will prove that love in Shakespeare’s day was every bit as ludicrous as it is now…
