Join us in the tranquil setting of Deer Park Corner at Lotherton as we host a one-day willow weaving sculpture workshop with local willow artist Wendy Bristow from Twigs & Sprigs.
Learn new skills and enjoy creating a beautiful giant hare sculpture which will then be displayed at Lotherton. You will be using traditional techniques and all natural elements to craft your sculpture.
This fun workshop is a great opportunity to learn all about willow and create something handmade to display at Lotherton as part of an estate-wide willow sculpture trail.
This event is aimed at beginners or those with some experience and suitable for adults aged 18 and above.
We are hosting the workshop in the wooden gazebo which is situated in Deer Park Corner. You will see it as you drive down to Lotherton, if parking in the main field car park, otherwise it is an easy walk from the smaller car park. Head towards the deer hide and you will spot the gazebo!
The wooden gazebo is outdoors so please dress for the weather, and bring along some water or pop to the café for a takeaway drink before you join us.
This event must be pre-booked using the ticket link below. Ticket price includes general entry to the estate and the workshop. Please remember to bring your ticket or have it ready to show on your phone at the entry cabin and at the gazebo.
This event is funded by the government’s Cultural Relief Fund and is part of the #HereForCulture campaign.
#HereForCulture is a movement that unites the public, government and cultural organisations in support of our fantastic cinemas, theatres, music venues, museums, galleries and heritage. By being #HereForCulture, we aren’t just supporting the people in the industry, we’re also supporting communities across the country.
