Leeds to Innovation Wikithon

To celebrate the amazing innovators featured in our Leeds to Innovation exhibition, this is a friendly and practical workshop for people who want to increase representation on the widely- used website Wikipedia.

We’ll show you how to make an account and update existing Wikipedia pages about people featuring in our exhibition. We’ll also help you to find new places to research Leeds’ industrial history.

To get the most out of the session, you’ll need to bring your own laptop or tablet (contact us if you need help with sourcing a device) and have a basic knowledge of computers. If you’ve ever sent an email, you can definitely edit a Wikipedia page!

Included in the session is a tour of the exhibition, to get ideas flowing and tea & coffee.
