Leeds Mindfulness Cooperative have been offering Breathworks Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness for Stress courses for over 10 years. Kindness and self-compassion are at the heart of our work. An important aspect of mindfulness practise is to pay more attention to our senses – body sensations, sounds, sights, tastes – which bring us back to our actual experience in the moment. This greatly reduces stress. So if you find yourself caught in a vicious cycle of thinking about and trying to problem solve stress only to find that this only keeps us stressed, come along and find a new way in which mindfulness and compassion can help us develop a new relationship with our situation which allows us to respond creatively and frees us to live our lives more fully.
Part of the Kirkstall Abbey Mindfulness, Wellbeing & Spirituality Festival 2019.
Organised in collaboration with Leeds Mindfulness & Positive Emotion Enhancement Centre www.leeds-mindfulness.uk
