Study Day: Leonora Cohen – Leeds Suffragette
Date/Time
14 November 2019
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Venue Abbey House Museum
Come along to Abbey House Museum for an exclusive study day which explores our fantastic Leonora Cohen collection.
The collection was donated by Cohen, a Leeds based Suffragette who spent time in prison during the campaign for women’s suffrage.
We will talk about some of the campaigns and events in Leeds and other local areas with a chance to think about some of the issues involved, and the challenges that continue.
There will then be a chance to see the collection for yourself.
With Nicola Pullan, Assistant Curator of Leeds and Social History.
Tickets: £11 – a £5 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking, and the balance is due on the day.
Pre-booking essential. Please book by calling 0113 3784079 or at the museum in person.
