The Arbeau Dancers taster session provides the perfect opportunity to learn historical dances in the spectacular Picture Gallery of Temple Newsam.

Follow in the footsteps of Jane Austen with dances known to Mr Darcy and the Bennetts at the Netherfield Ball. This three hour event gives an opportunity to dance in the beautiful Picture Gallery at Temple Newsam House.

No experience or partner is needed and it’s suitable for all abilities and ages from 16+. Full instructions will be given, starting from very basics to get everyone dancing. All you need are comfortable clothes you can move in and flat soft soled shoes. The Arbeau Dancers will be in full Regency costume and will demonstrate some dances too.
