Golf at Temple Newsam

Founded in 1923, the golf course at Temple Newsam was designed by Alister MacKenzie, the famous course architect behind the iconic Augusta National, home of The Masters.

Set in beautiful parkland, players can enjoy stunning views and a fun challenge across both our Lady Dorothy and Lord Irwin nine-hole courses.

Whether you’re playing on the Lady or the Lord, you’ll be in for an afternoon of rolling fairways, tricky hazards and interesting things to see.

Recently reconfigured, these historic courses can be played together, giving experienced players a traditional 18-hole offering (and plenty of opportunity to beat the competition!).

For those who have never played before, pay and play at Temple Newsam is a great way to try golf out for yourself and feel like your Ryder Cup heroes.
