By purchasing an animal adoption pack you agree to the terms set out below.

1.               Adoption Packs

• • The prices of our adoption packs are as quoted in our outlets (Lotherton, The Arium, Temple Newsam House, Tropical World and Golden Acre Park etc.) from time to time.
  • Adoption packs include the following –

• A Penguin stuffed toy or a Lotherton branded cup;
• A certificate with the adoptee name on it and the commencement date of the adoption;
• A fact sheet about the Penguins and how we care for them;
• 1 free admission for the adoptee – to be used once during the 12 months of adoption;
• Name on the thank you board near the penguin enclosure. (This will be up for the 12 months of adoption and removed once the year is up);
• Wildlife World Branded Tote Bag.

1.2           We reserve the right at our sole discretion to reduce or alter such benefits attached to any adoption package at any time.

1.3            When you purchase an adoption pack, you are purchasing a share (or multiple shares) in your chosen species not an individual species and no animal (individual or species) will be exclusively adopted by you. Further, adoption does not imply ownership, nor does it create any liabilities in respect of any species adopted.

1.4            Each adoption pack lasts for a term of 12 months commencing on the date the adoption pack is purchased. One month before the end of the initial term and every 12 month period thereafter, we may write to you giving you the option of renewing that adoption for an additional 12 month period to commence consecutively. Payment for renewals must be made in advance. Each 12- month term shall commence on the date specified when you applied to purchase an adoption (where practicable) or if no date is specified, the date that we process the adoption. This date will be stated on your personal certificate which you will receive with your adoption welcome pack in any event.

1.5            We reserve the right to refuse applications for adoptions at our sole discretion.

1.6            All adoption packs purchased are non-exchangeable, non-refundable and are not for resale.

1.7            Any complimentary admission tickets issued with your adoption pack are only valid during our standard opening times and are not valid for admission to any events at our outlets.

1.8            We do not make any guarantees that the species you have adopted will be on show or available for public viewing at the times that you visit our outlets.

2.              Data Protection

2.1            We will at all times comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 (the “Act”) to the extent the Act applies in connection with this agreement. By providing your personal details, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Leeds City Council Privacy Policy and warrant that all data provided by you is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

3.               General

• • Entire agreement. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
  • Governing law. The agreement, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the law of England.
