Come along to the Leeds International Day of Disabled People 2024 Marketplace Event! This year the theme is ‘Advocating for Accessibility’.

The day will be a pan-disability marketplace event. Stalls will represent a range of local organisations in Leeds who advocate for accessibility and support people with physical and sensory impairments, autism, learning disabilities and those living with mental health issues. Alongside all those with lived experience, we also welcome family members, young people, carers and personal assistants.

The day will open at 11 AM with our guest speakers who will talk about their own experiences of advocating for accessibility in Leeds. There will be a performance session at lunchtime and mid afternoon to showcase the talents of local performers from People in Action, including singers, a rap artist, a dancer and performance poet. Plus, we also hope to have an Art Zone for you to enjoy downstairs alongside the Quiet Sensory Room.

So, come along to give your support on this internationally celebrated day – or find out what support is available for you. Don’t miss this opportunity to talk to people, swap ideas, meet up with friends and enjoy the marketplace atmosphere!

Celebrate the contribution of disabled people to the movement of making Leeds a more accessible city.
