Working with communities
Our outreach service enables people who cannot easily visit our sites to experience museum objects through handling sessions.
If you would like to know more about the Leeds Museums and Galleries community programme, or explore ways in which your community can be represented at our sites, please contact us:
Donate to the collection
Leeds Museums and Galleries are committed to collecting objects and stories that reflect contemporary Leeds people and our city and region’s diverse communities.
We are always looking to gather more people-focused material to add to our growing digital and object collections.
Community events
Explore our varied community events programme across our eight attractions.
Events and activities range from film screenings to community-led exhibitions. If you have an idea for an event, let us know:
Community Exhibitions and Displays
We host a number of community exhibitions and displays across our museums and galleries. If you have a story to share or an idea for an exhibition, please get in touch and we will be able to provide support and guidance to help you display your work.
Volunteering
Joining our team as a volunteer is a great way to develop new skills and knowledge, meet new people and get exclusive behind-the-scenes access to each of our eight sites.
