Sociable History Club is our monthly talks series for adults with guest speakers and a different theme each time.

Join members of the Leeds City Museum's Front of House team to discuss their new project focused on riots and protests in Leeds throughout its history.

We’ll be discussing the research undertaken, how the project came to fruition and the varied outcomes we have put in place as well as telling the story of 5 fascinating riots and protests: the 1735 Corn Price riot, the 1812 Lady Ludd riot, the 1865 Dripping riot, the 1936 Battle of Holbeck Moor and the 1977 Reclaim the Night protest.

Refreshments provided.

Drop in, no need to book. Please note, these talks are sometimes busy - entry is on a first come first served basis.

The talk is free. Leeds City Museum is a Give What You Can venue.
