Home Farm
Wander through the historic cobbled yards and outbuildings to discover what working life was like at Home Farm and how the farm operates today. Find out about the people who lived and worked on the farm over the years, and what life was like for them.
Home Farm is a working farm and is home to lots of animals, many of which are rare breeds. See some of the rarest farm animals in Europe including the vaynol cow, white faced woodland sheep, middle white pigs and more. On special event days enjoy crafts, activities and demonstrations suitable for all the whole family.
Please note that only assistance dogs are permitted in the farm.

Conservation
Home Farm is a working farm and one of the largest rare breed centres in Europe. Conservation is at the heart of our work, and we are passionate about local farming, its links to heritage, and how we can preserve the industry for future generations.
All animals at Home Farm are native to the UK and most are classed as rare breeds by the Rare Breed Survival Trust. As a rare breeds centre we help to ensure the continuation of some of the oldest breeds of farm animals in the country, and provide a living legacy people can enjoy now and in the future.
During your visit you will run into all sorts of farm animals that you are unlikely to see anywhere else, including a wide variety of rare breed poultry. A full list of our rare breeds is available in our Rare Breeds guide.
