Habitats


Pupils explore the rainforest and polar habitats. What are they like and how do the animals survive there?

Duration: 45 minutes  |  Cost: £50 | Suitable for: Key Stage 1 and 2  |  Sessions run: Monday – Friday

Ahead of the workshop we will:

  • Discuss SEND/access needs if required
  • Share health & safety guidance.

During the classroom workshop we will:

  • Provide an overview of different habitats found across the world
  • Look in further detail about rainforests and polar habitats, the conditions and the animals found there
  • The threats which habitats are facing and how you can hel
  • View animal artefacts which link in with the workshop

There is also the opportunity to add these extras to your workshop to enhance your day:

  • Guided tour of Wildlife World to really get to know the animals with our zoo education officer
  • Mini-beast hunt in Captain Wood
