Virtual Classroom: Stone Age to Iron Age
What can Stone Age tools tell us about the way people lived in the Stone Age? Who were the Bronze Age beaker people, and what did people living in the Iron Age leave behind? Find out all of this and more in our virtual interactive Prehistory workshop, using a mix of real objects and interactive 3D models of objects from the collections. Plus, come along on a virtual tour of Leeds Discovery Centre, home to over 1 million objects.
Virtual classrooms are delivered via Zoom Pro. The Stone Age to Iron Age workshop includes:
- A short virtual tour of Leeds Discovery Centre
- Timeline activity
- A chance to explore real museum artefacts with our Learning and Access Officer
- Activities based on 3D models of artefacts in the Leeds collection – pupils will need access to one laptop/tablet between 2-4 pupils.
Supporting worksheets and resources will be provided in advance, along with detailed information about what teachers and pupils will need for the workshop.
