Leeds Goth
Leeds is where Goth culture began. From the F Club to the Phono, the ‘Motorway City’ to the ‘Gothic City’, this talk explores the dark waves the Leeds was making in the post-punk years.

Riots and Protests in Leeds
Join members of Leeds City Museum's Front of House team to discuss their new project focused on riots and protests in Leeds throughout its history.
We’ll be discussing the research undertaken, how the project came to fruition and the varied outcomes we have put in place as well as telling the story of five fascinating riots and protests: the 1735 Corn Price riot, the 1812 Lady Ludd riot, the 1865 Dripping riot, the 1936 Battle of Holbeck Moor and the 1977 Reclaim the Night protest.

Join Leeds City Museum's Curator of Exhibitions Laura Irwin, to explore the wonderful world of Miffy, the story of illustrator Dick Bruna and our current exhibition celebrating the 70th birthday of one of our favourite rabbits.

Leeds Stories by the Second World War Experience Centre
Anne Wickes will join us to share the stories of local Leeds soldiers, sharing wartime documents, letters and photographs to handle and explore.

Literature in Leeds: prose, poetry and plays
We'll be joined by Patrick Bourne, Assistant Community Cuator at Abbey House Museum and Kirkstall Abbey, to learn about Abbey House Museum's latest exhibition, a community display celebrating writers from Leeds.
