Come and meet the cattle shaping our countryside! Join us at Home Farm for an exclusive 'Meet the Farmer' talk and get up close to some of the UK's rarest cattle breeds,  including Vaynol, Shetlands, Irish Moiled, Gloucesters and Herefords.

Our expert guide, Farm Manager Oliver Thomson, will tell you all about their rich histories - from ancient lineage to their role in traditional farming. Watch a live halter-training demonstration showcasing the close bond between the farmer and his cattle. Discover what a year in the life of a cow entails - including calving, grazing and winter care - and how these heritage breeds help to maintain the natural landscape of the estate, and supply our cafe with high-welfare, sustainably produced meat. Whether you're a farming enthusiast or just curious about countryside heritage, this is a rare chance to meet with our expert and experience these incredible animals first hand.

Booking essential. Included in general admission but numbers are limited.
