Thursday 3 July - Throwback Thursday - Getting Around Town

From trams to buses and cars to trains and bikes, come along to this session and share your memories (good and bad!) - of transport in Leeds past and present.

Open to adults of all ages, with contributions from our curatorial staff. Hot drink and biscuits provided.

Thursday 14 August - Throwback Thursday - Remembering 1945

Join us for a look back at the end of the Second World War 80 years ago this year, with a particular focus on VJ Day (15 Aug 1945) but also looking at VE Day (8 May 1945). We welcome any reminiscences you are happy to share with us, or memories relating to the end of conflict that have been told to you by parents or grandparents. Tea and coffee provided, and adults of all ages welcome.

Thursday 4 September - Throwback Thursday - Back To School!

School's no longer out for the summer. Relive your childhood memories of schooldays through a glance at our collections and bring your own memories too. From pen nibs and school desks to blazers and ties, sports days to favourite and least favourite subjects, there'll be no exam conditions set here just tea, biscuits and a trip down memory lane. Don't forget your homework!

Thursday 2 October - Throwback Thursday - Food, Glorious Food!

Remember your favourite recipe, or tell us your favourite treat. This food themed reminiscence session should leave your mouth watering, so by the end of this scrumptious session we hope you'll be saying 'Please Sir, can I have some more?'

Thursday 6 November - Throwback Thursday - Ghosts and Ghouls

Whether it's rides on the Ghost Train at your local funfair and trick or treating for Halloween you want to remember, or rumours of ghostly goings on in creaky old buildings, this Throwback Thursday is sure to thrill!
