Take a peep up the chimney to examine the myths, legends, folklore and prejudices about chimney sweeps, as well its harsh realities.

We'll also look at the campaign to improve working conditions and against the exploitation of climbing boys.  

This study day looks at material from the huge collection of Sweepiana amassed by Dr Ernestine Henry which is now in the Leeds Museums & Galleries collection.

Tea, coffee and cake provided.
