In response to the upcoming Resistance exhibition, once a month, enjoy a free, creative workshop exploring the themes of protest.

In November, we take inspiration from the Leeds suffragette movement and head out on a photo walk, walking in the historic footsteps of the Leeds branch of the suffragette movement.

The workshop will include a tour around the Resistance exhibition, plus explore our Leeds Museums and Galleries Suffragette social history collection. Discover the fascinating connection between the Suffragette movement and Leeds Art Gallery.

Afterwards, we will head out on a photo walk, visiting historic suffrage locations within the city centre with our Youth Engagement Curator, Angie Thompson and our resident youth arts engagement group, the Youth Collective, to share fascinating insights into the city's remarkable history.

Bring your own camera, mobile phone and Ipad. Please wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing for autumn weather conditions. Snacks are provided, bring a packed lunch if you wish.

Please note, this workshop is part of the youth engagement programme, therefore, you must be aged 14-24 to take part.

Places are limited. To book your free place and make enquires, email youth.curator@leeds.gov.uk
