Join artist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Hannah Catherine Jones for a live performance to mark the closing weekend of her exhibition UNEARTHING(S) in Leeds Art Gallery’s Central Court.

For the event, Jones will revisit and push beyond motifs and themes from her newly commissioned sound work Owed to Unearthing(s). A key part of the exhibition, this soundscape draws from diverse genres including opera, dub, folk, spiritual jazz and from further afield, sonically weaving together diverse elements to reflect on grief and loss.

As a performer, Jones conjures otherworldly soundscapes to transport audiences, building layers from a live multi-instrumental set-up including theremin(s), vocals, synthesisers, strings and samples as well as utilising fx and multiple looping systems.

Jones has previously performed at venues including the Barbican, Cafe Oto, ICA, London Jazz Festival and the National Gallery among others.

This event, taking place in Central Court on the First Floor of Leeds Art Gallery has no admission charge (we are a Give What You Can Gallery). Capacity is limited, arrive early to avoid disappointment.
