Celebrate the Year of the Horse at Temple Newsam House this February!

Join Leeds Chinese Community School on Saturday, 21st February 2026, for a vibrant day of free workshops, live performances, and cultural activities in the stunning surroundings of Temple Newsam House and its renowned collection of Fine and Decorative Arts.

With a Give What You Can entry, this is a unique opportunity for everyone to experience the beauty and warmth of Chinese New Year traditions.

Programme:

All day - themed food vendors in the Great Hall

12 - 3pm - Caligraphy and lantern workshops. Drop in.

12 - 1pm - Dance workshop. Drop in.

1pm - 1.45pm - Public Performance by students, staff, and volunteers from Leeds Chinese Community School and other community organisations with Lion Dancers performing the Grand Finale'* 

*first-come, first-severd basis of seating, get a wristband on site to get your seat!
