Pride and Place: Voices and Stories of South Leeds

9 June - 1 September 2025
Leeds City Museum

This exhibition is the culmination of the Creative Communities project, a lottery-funded initiative, engaged adults in South Leeds, living in the areas of Holbeck, Beeston, Belle Isle, Middleton and Hunslet.

Over two years, the project fostered community connection, improved mental well-being, and instilled Pride in Place through a range of visual arts activities.

Participants explored painting, drawing, textile crafts, photography, and many other creative mediums, culminating in an exhibition showcasing their work and celebrating their achievements.
