Join us this Christmas for the animated film based on the much-loved children's picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

Stick Man tells the tale of a happy go lucky fathers' epic journey to make it home in time for Christmas, brought to life in The Brodrick Hall by The Leeds Conservatoire orchestra, who will also be performing timeless Christmas classics for all the family before and after the film. This award-winning animation is from Magic Light Pictures, producers of the hugely successful The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child and Room on the Broom films.

'Witty and wise' -The Telegraph

“Stick Man lives in the family tree with his Stick Lady Love and their stick children three.”

Join Stick Man on an incredible adventure across the seasons as he runs from a playful dog, gets thrown in a river, escapes from a swan’s nest and even ends up on top of a fire.
Will he get back to his family in time for Christmas?

Featuring the voices of Hugh Bonneville (Santa), Rob Brydon (Snail, Park-keeper, Swan Dad, Frog, Beach Dad, Crab & Cat), Martin Freeman (Stick Man), Sally Hawkins (Stick Lady, Pigeon, Swan Mum, Robin), Jennifer Saunders (Narrator), Russell Tovey (Dog).

The production is approximately 45 minutes long.

If you have any questions about access requirements, the relaxed performance or wheelchair spaces please email us on city.museum@leeds.gov.uk

Essential companion tickets - A free essential companion ticket is available for caregivers. This requires a valid ticket for the guest requiring assistance. This must be booked in advance by contacting Leeds Ticket Hub via email or phone.

View - In the Stalls area, there is a circular rig hanging from the ceiling. This is across the screen above the performing orchestra.

Extra legroom - The balcony is traditional, heritage theatre seats. If you would prefer extra legroom in your seats, recommend stall seating.

Balcony - We recommend children 8 years and older in the balcony area only due to the railing height blocking smaller children's views. Children must sit in their own seat on the balcony, not on an accompanying adult's lap.
