An object handling workshop for blind and partially sighted people using 3D replica objects.

In this workshop, visitors will explore Leeds City Museum's collection using 3D printed versions of objects usually held behind glass cases - from Burmantofts pottery to commemorative coins and traditional toys.

With opportunities to discuss these objects and their histories with a facilitator, visitors will also consider how these objects differ from their original forms, materials and sizes, and how this might impact our understanding of them.

Tickets are free and bookable by email city.museum@leeds.gov.uk or 0113 3785001.

We have plenty of space for support workers to attend too – please let us know when booking.

This workshop takes place in the Denny Room on Lower Ground of Leeds City Museum. From the main entrance, turn left to find the lift. On Lower Ground, turn left and go past the whale skeleton, then turn left to find the Denny Room. Please ask the member of staff at the museum main entrance if you’d like us to show you the way.

Please note, there is an alternative entrance into the museum through the café, which is on the same floor as the workshop (Lower Ground).
