Give What You Can

Join us on Sundays at 3-4pm where we'll turn off all music in the exhibition for a quieter experience.

You might expect to hear music in a music exhibition. For Music Leeds Us, we have jukeboxes where you can choose from over a hundred songs from Leeds. If you prefer your exhibitions without 00s Indie music or 70s punk, come along on Sundays at 3-4pm when we promise the jukebox will be turned off for an hour.

We have tried to make this exhibition more accessible by providing information on an access map. We have ear defenders available to borrow in the exhibition or from the shop. There is a mirrorball in the exhibition which will also be turned off on Sundays at 3-4pm.

If you have thoughts about how we can make the space accessible, please do suggest them by emailing city.museum@leeds.gov.uk

The museum tends to be less busy on Sunday afternoons compared to earlier in the weekend. However, where we know that there’s a large event happening within the museum or nearby, we have listed them below.

Large events are scheduled on the following Sundays which may make the museum busier/louder:

9 November – Piano Festival
30 November – Hip Hop community event
7 December – Sue Ryder ‘celebrate a life’ event
14 December – The Snowman and The Snowdog in concert

We'd love to know your thoughts
