  • £5 per child.

Discover ancient Egyptian life in this home education focused workshop.

In this workshop, families will explore our Ancient Worlds gallery, finding and drawing artefacts from ancient Egypt. They’ll then discuss with a facilitator the life of the mummified person in the museum. When returning to the Learning classroom, students will take part in their own mummification: working as a team to prepare and wrap a doll for their journey into the afterlife.

Please book a ticket per child. Students need to be accompanied by an adult throughout the workshop.

Please email city.museum@leeds.gov.uk to let us know any SEN/SEMH details of your group and suggestions of any adjustments we could make.

Please arrive for 10am. The workshop will start at 10.15am and finish by 11.45am.

For ages 6-11 years.
