Join us for an animaltastic day out for the family.

From platypuses to hippopotami, discover the weird and wonderful world of animals with activities for all ages.

Did you know a group of platypuses is called a Paddle or a Cuddle?

On this day, you can find the following activities at the museum between 10am-3pm:

-    Design a silly animal at our craft activity stations
-    Animal trail
-    Animal Explorer shows led by Zoolab must be prebooked – see below
-  Animal maths activities led by City of Maths – how are rabbits secretly connected to pinecones through numbers?
- Games and activities for young children, led by Number Train
- Facepainting (subject to availability)

Animal Explorer Show - Booking required

As part of this event, you can join us for a Animal Explorer Show with ZooLab.

There will be animal handling, fun and facts. If you love creepy crawlies and touching real animals, this is the show for you!

The show is most suitable for families with children aged 5+. Please only book a ticket per child. Each child ticket admits one accompanying adult (due to limited space). Babes in arms also don’t need a ticket (as long as their sibling has a ticket).

This event takes place in the Thoresby Room on the Lower Ground floor of Leeds City Museum.
