An object handling workshop for blind and partially sighted people with objects from our World Cultures collection.

This workshop is designed for partially sighted and blind people to experience highlights of the museum in an accessible environment.

With a curator, we will handle artefacts from our World Cultures collection. There will be an opportunity to discuss the objects and their histories.

There will be an opportunity to discuss the objects and their histories with a member of the team. We will also consider how these objects differ from their original forms, materials and sizes, and how this might impact our understanding of them.

Tickets are free and bookable by email city.museum@leeds.gov.uk or 0113 3785001.

We have plenty of space for support workers to attend too – please let us know when booking.
