Come along and celebrate all things woolly. We have it all from packed out crafting markets to expert demonstrations, talks, performances, tea room pop-ups and loads more. Whether you’re a natty knitter or crackers about crochet, it’s a great day out for all ages.
Housed within the surroundings of the Grade II listed Armley Mills, come along and explore the many wonderful mill spaces and temporary exhibitions.

11am - 3pm | Wet Felting Workshops | Learning Centre
Drop in for wet felting workshops and have a go at making your own felted creation. All ages and experiences welcome!
12pm | Expert talk and Q&A | Palace Picture House
Textiles expert Hannah Gardiner will unravel fact from fiction of wool and animal hair with an illustrated talk, specimens from her vast collection and a Q & A session.
1pm | Briggate Morris Dancers | Museum Entrance
The Briggate Morris Dancers are returning to bring us a demonstration of traditional North-West folk dancing.
1.30pm | Jon Harvison | Palace Picture House
The very talented Jon Harvison, one of West Yorkshire’s best known folk singer/songwriter, will be returning to delight us with his traditional ballads and Mill songs. He will be making music around the Mill and you can catch him in the cinema space at 1.30pm.

International Felt Makers Association | Mill Space
The International Felt Makers will be rounding off their excellent exhibition with demonstrations and conversations in the Mill Space all day. This is your last chance to see the exhibition, so don’t miss it!
Spinning and carding demonstrations | Learning Centre
The Bradford & District Guild of Handweavers, Spinners and Dyers will be joined by the Spinners of Aire and will be demonstrating spinning and carding in the Learning Centre. Come along for a chat and see what a wonderful display of hand spun goods they have for sale.
Knitting and crochet advice | ???
Close Knit Friends, the wonderful group of knitting and crochet enthusiasts who meet here weekly in the Museum, will be delighted to help with any knitting or crochet problems that you may have. Come along and have a chat with them.
Visit the Luddites | Mill Worker's Cottage
Visit the Luddites with Penelope Hemingway and her family demonstrating the Great Wheel and traditional Dales knitting in the period setting of the Mill Worker's Cottage. Find out what life was like for a Luddite.
