Join our family-friendly dawn chorus walk to learn about birdsong and enjoy the historic landscape of Temple Newsam.

Our darn chorus walk will focus on using bird song to identify mostly woodland and parkland birds. We'll likely spot other wildlife on our stroll and you'll have the opportunity to watch our historic estate wake up and come to life.

The walk finishes in the courtyard where a full English breakfast will be served at 9am in the cafe. Breakfast is pre-ordered, and a variety of options are available to cater for differing requirements.

Key information:

  • Meet at the Stable Courtyard at 6am
  • Walk is approximately 4 miles 
  • The walk is for families and beginners, but everyone is welcome.
  • The route is through fields, woodlands, over stiles up steps etc.
  • The walk is not accessible but please call for details as we will try to accommodate
