Get close to spinning wheels and working looms inside Leeds Industrial Museum, housed within the Grade II listed Armley Mills.

Learn all about the industries which made Leeds world famous. The museum is also home to the 1920s Palace Picture House. The 24 seat cinema is one of the smallest working cinemas in the world!

Don’t forget to explore the outdoor spaces during your visit. The canal side Colour Garden is the perfect place to pitch a picnic.

What’s inside Thwaite Watermill

Thwaite Watermill is nestled on a tiny island, a short distance from Leeds City Centre. It is one of the last remaining examples of a water-powered mill in Britain.

Visit the historical mill building, learn how workers lived self sufficiently on the island and step back in time inside Thwaite House. There’s also a nature trail and loads of lovely outdoor spaces perfect for the summer sunshine.
