Covid-19 regulations
Please wear a face covering in enclosed spaces, unless you are exempt. This is the recommended government guidance but it isn’t mandatory.
In the interest of the health and safety of all of our staff and visitors, our staff are wearing masks.
Please make use of our hand sanitising stations and observe signage to help us to protect everyone.
We have a recommended one-way route through the house and farm. Please follow the signage to make the most of your day out at Temple Newsam.
What is open?
All areas of the estate is fully open to visitors. Please check our visit page for the most up-to-date opening times. Please note that public toilets are open from 9am-5pm and whilst most carparks remain open at all times, the Lakeside and Walled Garden carparks close at 4.30pm.
Do I need to book to visit?
You can book in advance for both the house and farm. Tickets are also available to buy from the Courtyard Shop on the day of your visit (subject to availability).
We do not offer a pre-booking service for Temple Newsam Tearooms.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome in our grounds and gardens. Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead in designated areas and that you continue to follow guidance around social distancing if you choose to visit.
Please note that dogs are not permitted in the house or farm with the exception of assistance dogs.
Mobility scooter hire
Mobility scooters are available to hire. To book one please call 0113 3367 560 Mon-Fri 9am-4pm.
