What’s the scoop on poop?
Join us for an engaging and interactive outdoor workshop where pupils will explore the fascinating world of digestion and animal life through… poo!
Through fun, science based activities and teamwork, pupils will gain a deeper understanding of the digestive process and the clues wildlife leave behind about their eating habits and habitats.
Duration: 2 hours | Suitable for: KS2, SEND | Sessions run: Monday – Friday
Availability: Outdoor sessions run from June - October
Ahead of the workshop we will discuss SEND/access needs if required and share health & safety guidance.
During the outdoor workshop we will:
- Dive into the human digestive system, learning how food transforms into nutrients and waste;
- Discover the unique ways different animals digest food and identify their diets by examining & replicating animal droppings (scat);
- Use critical thinking skills to link animals to their habitats and food sources, understanding the role of herbivores, carnivores and omnivores in the ecosystem.
