Guided tours and groups visits
Kirkstall Abbey is the perfect place for a group visit, whether it’s part of a wider tour of the area or a few hours spent roaming the ruins and parkland.
Fridays between March and October
Our guided tour with resident monk Bernard takes you through the majestic ruins of Kirkstall Abbey.
Discover the incredible history of the medieval abbey, find out why the monks made Kirkstall their home and enjoy a traditional taster of mead.
Once the guided tour has finished, we invite you to discover the rest of abbey and grounds at your leisure. Afterwards, take a break in the beautiful surroundings of The Gatehouse Cafe where a Colonel North lunch will be served.
The tour of Kirkstall Abbey takes approximately 1 hour. We recommend allowing 2 hours for your visit, not including lunch.
