Independent Spirit: A Heritage Framework for Leeds
Independent Spirit: A Heritage Framework for Leeds (PDF)
The City of Leeds has published its first ever Heritage Framework.
Its purpose is to highlight the distinctive features of Leeds heritage, to co-ordinate strategic development, and to bring people together.
Over a nine-month period, we have assembled evidence, reviewed hundreds of documents and listened to input from over a thousand people.
You can find out more about the need for action, and the change we intend to make, in the full Heritage Framework document which is available here.
This project has been led by Leeds City Council, in partnership with Leeds Civic Trust, the Royal Armouries, the British Library, Henry Moore Foundation, Harewood House, West Yorkshire Archive Service, and Thackray Museum of Medicine, working with consultants at Wafer Hadley.
