School holidays: Mini-beast week

Join us for a week of mini-beast learning and exploring during the summer school holidays! From Tuesday 10 – Sunday 15 August, pick up a free mini-beast trail to tackle during your visit to Thwaite! Learn all about their natural habitats dotted throughout the grounds and gardens and join us for a guided tour (subject to staffing and availability).

There’s lots of other bug related activities planned for the week too:

Tuesday 10 August: Make mini-beast charms and pick-up a super power activity sheet.

Wednesday 11 August: Spider storytelling and puppet crafts with Matthew Bellwood (11am, 12.30pm & 2pm. 10 slots available per session).

Thursday 12 August: Mini-beast handling (Half hour slots though the day. 12 slots available for each session).

Friday 13 August: Come face-to-face with bugs from the Leeds collection.

All events and activities are included with general admission. There’s no need to pre-book, just sign-up on the day.
