Tea & Talk Club: Conservation at Temple Newsam
Date/Time: 28 February 2024 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Venue: Temple Newsam
On the last Wednesday of every month, our friendly Tea & Talk Club meets for an hour of sociable history in the grand surroundings of Temple Newsam House. Listen to a free talk from an expert on a different topic each month, have a cup of tea and a snack, and chat with like-minded people.
This month, we’re joined by Leeds Museums & Galleries Conservator Emma Bowron. We’re talking about how the Temple Newsam staff work hard to preserve and protect all our fragile objects, interiors, and artworks in the house.
There’s no need to book ahead, just drop in. Please note that sessions are limited to 45 guests and offered on a first come first served basis. It’s free to attend and refreshments are provided. If you would like to explore the rest of the house, you will need to book a general admission ticket.
Explore the historic mansion with hidden treasures, encounter rare breed animals at Home Farm and stroll through the impressive grounds and gardens. Find out more about things to see and do at Temple Newsam.
