Macramé is the ancient art of using knots to create designs with cord that you can then turn into wall hangings, clothing, jewellery and home décor. In this workshop, which is suitable for beginners, you will learn five basic macrame knots which will enable you to make and take home your own festive decorations on the day but you will also be taking away a brand new skill that you can use on future projects!
This class is suitable for beginners, no prior experience is required and everything you‘ll need to make your Christmas decorations will be provided.
Working with a selection of 3-ply cotton cords, selected beads, wooden rings and assorted festive findings you will learn how to create a lark’s head knot, cow hitch, square knot, double half hitch and wrapping knot. You will then be shown how to use different combinations of these knots to create your very own angel, boho fringed bauble and mini Christmas tree decorations.
Suitable for adults only (16+)
