Lino Cut Printing – Christmas Card Workshop

Lino cutting and printing is an enjoyable process that requires a minimum of specialist equipment. Learn how to design, carve and print from your own linocuts to create a fabulous set of ten A5 Christmas cards in this informal workshop.

This class is suitable for beginners, no prior experience is required and everything you‘ll need to create your designs will be provided.

During the workshop you will be introduced to a selection of tools and basic cutting techniques. You will then be shown how to ink your lino block with a single colour and then burnish prints by hand.

Please note that if you would prefer to use your own sketches/designs instead you are quite welcome to bring them along but bear in mind that any prints you make will be a mirror image of your original design so if you wish to incorporate text it will need to be reversed.

Ticket Information:

• On arrival, make your way to the Stable Courtyard. The workshop space is in the Lady Isabella Room.
• Charged for car parking is available in the House car park, car parking tickets can be purchased via the app by PayByPhone or from the gift shop located in the Stable Courtyard. There are also free car parks on site with a 10/15 minute walk to the Lady Isabella room.
• Tea and coffee will be provided. As this is a longer session it would be advisable to either bring a packed lunch or refreshments are also available to purchase from the café.
