Handmade Fabric Bird Workshop

Join artist, Sandy, for a day of fabric bird making.

In this 1 day workshop you will learn how to cut out, hand sew and fill out the shape of your bird. You will also learn how to shape wire legs and feet and add fabric scraps to form the wings and tail feathers.

There will be plenty of fabrics and threads for you to work with and you are also welcome to bring along any of your own that you may like to use. This is an excellent opportunity to recycle odd bits of fabric or clothing you have lying around or make something using a piece of fabric that has a special meaning to you.

Adults only – The skill level is for beginners / intermediate and requires basic sewing skills.

The workshop will run from 10 .30am until 3.30pm. There will be a 45 minute break for lunch. Please note that the event is suitable for adults only. The skill level is for beginners / intermediate and requires basic sewing skills.

Tea and coffee will be provided on the day.
