Crafting for Christmas

We need your help as we get ready for Christmas at Temple Newsam! This year we’re celebrating Tree Traditions with a themed trail through the house and farm. Help us to prepare the trees and see your decorations on display during the festive season.

To get involved, join us at our Wednesday ‘crafternoon’ workshops between 1-3pm during November. Learn how to make a no-sew Swedish star, embroider felt doves, make an English paper patchwork tree and a craft a rag rug effect bauble.

Sessions are free to attend but we do ask you to book ahead by emailing [email protected]. We will meet in the 1940s flat on Home Farm and each session can accommodate up to 10 people. Pease wrap up warm and don’t forget to say hi to our farmyard friends afterwards! No prior experience is needed, all materials will be provided and your creations will be displayed in our trail over Christmas.
