Join textile conservator Jacqueline Hyman for a study day at Lotherton on textile conservation. Jacqueline is the owner of the Textile Restoration Studio which specialises in conservation of textiles at stately homes, churches, cathedrals, and individuals.

A Study Day allows time for more in depth discussion of treatments, methodology and the complexities of textile conservation. Through photographs and practical demonstrations, basic treatments are discussed along with preventative conservation methods. Problems associated with handling, mounting and display are outlined and how they can be overcome.

You are encouraged to bring along your items for discussion and appraisal – always a fascinating end to an in depth day.

The study day includes refreshments on arrival at lunch in the Stables Café.
