Homes of the Gascoignes: Untold Stories

Visit Lotherton’s ground floor rooms to see the extended Homes of the Gascoignes exhibition, with brand new additions for 2023.

Visitors will be able to see new objects and discover untold stories about the Gascoigne family and the people who lived and worked on their estates.

Co-curated by communities in England, Scotland and Ireland,  the exhibition includes revelations from family diaries about the life of Florence Nightingale.

With photographs revealing the origins of some of the more mysterious objects in the Gascoigne collection and archaeological objects found on the Parlington estate. Plus displays of the Gascoigne’s Victorian fancy dress, stories of archaeological digs on the Gaveloch Islands in Scotland and many more things to capture your interest and imagination.
