When: Monday 6 December, 10am-4pm

Where: Leeds Playhouse

How to book: please email [email protected] and we will send a booking form over to you.

Suitable for: School groups, charity groups, and individuals.

What will I see and do?

You can book 30 min slots (for up to 30 pupils) to look around the SEND careers fair and 30 min slots to attend breakout workshops. There will also be a trail of unmanned exhibitions you can go look at in your own time around the building. You will also find a sensory activity available near the entrance.

Who will be there?

We are limiting the number of stalls to 20 split over two spaces to prevent the rooms from feeling overwhelming and overcrowded. There are more still to confirm but the list is already full of great organisations who understand a SEND audience. Confirmed stalls include:

– Leeds Museums & Galleries
– Leeds Playhouse
– Outside the Box
– People Matters
– Pyramid
– Leeds College
– Swarthmore College
– Lighthouse Futures Trust
– Leeds Arts University
– Science Museum Group (National Railway Museum)
– Leeds Libraries
– Grand Futures/ Grand Theatre
– Scope
– Interplay Theatre
– National Coal Mining Museum

Getting there and parking:

– Find out how to get to Leeds Playhouse with Google Maps.
– Victoria Gate (John Lewis) car park
– Buses/mini buses can do turning circle and drop off at plagues square, as can cars.
– NcP on New York street is good for car parking – the most accessible route is through the market towards John Lewis and the bus station, then across the road.
– Templar Street parking is good for mini-buses because there is no height restriction.
– For public transport via bus the location is ideal. It is just across the road from Leeds Bus station.

Sensory Activity: The BOC (Beautiful Octopus Club) will have a stall  downstairs near the entrance where there will also be a sensory activity run by First Floor – Leeds Playhouse. There will also be a BOC shop for fun stuff to wear at a party.

After School slots: The bookable slots from 2.30- 4pm are for those who would like to visit without school. This can be independently, with parents or with a charity. Please spread the word of our SEND careers fair to anyone you think would be interested!

Please email [email protected] if you would like to attend and we will send a booking form over to you.
