This Island’s Mine
11 September 2021
Venue Leeds Industrial Museum
Join us for a very special canal boat performance which will be making its way between communities, collecting memories and experiences of the waterways in the area from people whose lives it touches.
This Island’s Mine is a story for people living in the towns, cities and villages of Yorkshire’s Aire valley. It’s about memories of growing up here, of leaving and returning, and how the Airedale shapes us – as river, canal, and railway weave around each other, all the way to Skipton.
This Islands Mine will tour up the valley for three weeks in September 2021, from Leeds to Bradford to Skipton. This charming canal boat tour forms part of the Aire Rivers Trust’s Developing the Natural Aire (DNAire) project, and is presented in collaboration with Canal Connections CIC and Multi-Story Water.
The show will run at 11.30am, 2pm and 4pm. Tickets are £3 and available to buy via the DNAire website.
