Visit the Leeds to Innovation online exhibition

Uncover the untold tales behind the greatest creative innovators of our time.

From Scootacars to steam engines and space food to Spirograph, get up close to the inventions which shaped Leeds; the City of 1,000 Trades. The exhibition features objects and stories from great inventors both past and present, including Washington Teasdale, famed for taking what is thought to be the first ever selfie against the backdrop of our very own Kirkstall Abbey! Leeds based Waddingtons, made escape kits in the shape of board games to aid prisoners during WW2. Come along and uncover the stories behind their incredible escape plans!

There’s also an inventors shed to keep all your young bright sparks entertained during your visit. Come along and inspire your inner inventor!
